It was about this time last year that label Nookie took to the catwalk of RAFW and gave us a very Australian and very kicked-back take on spring / summer. This year the ready-to-wear, casual aesthetic of Nookie shan't quite make it to the catwalk of Australian fashion week, instead that very same catwalk will play host to the unveiling of the their sister label's latest collection: Nookie Beach high summer 2011.
Ahead of the unveiling of Nookie Beach's 'Nirvana' collection next week, a 2011 / 2012 bikini and casual-war collection that promises to reflect the modern love of an eco and fashion fusion, we caught up with the label's founder Nikita Sernack to get a feel for what will be hitting the catwalk.
