For his Autumn Winter show at the his classic sartorial hang out, the New York State Armory on Lexington Avenue, Marc Jacobs pulled out the heavy guns on Monday evening, at least when it came to graphic symbols. We say 'symbols' but there was really just one on Jacobs' agenda; circles, rings, dots - call them what you like, but the round shapes were everywhere. As prints, embroideries or as cut-out metal bits, the symbol dominated a collection that, colour wise, used burgundy red, silver and a spot of green to contrast the usual whites, blues, greys and blacks.
